Students across Years 3 to 6 were treated to a series of Japanese Drumming workshops by the highly acclaimed Toko-Ton Taiko group.
After hearing about the cultural significance of the taiko and watching a demonstration with a variety of different instruments, students were given the opportunity to play the drums and perform as a group. The power and energy created was inspiring.
Feedback from Toko-Ton was that our Dakabin students were really engaged and asked some great questions afterwards. Well done to everyone involved in this cross-cultural incursion!
