Year 6 students participated in a Lights for Learning incursion.
This incursion is run by Origin Energy and teaches students about Energy poverty and renewable energy.
Students had the opportunity to make a solar light for another student in a community in energy poverty. The lights that students made were going to be sent to Papua New Guinea. Once we made the lights they then wrote a letter to the student who would be receiving the solar buddy light.
We have been participating in this program for many years now and we must take this opportunity to thank Matt Jeffs (a parent of our school) and his group of volunteers who come out and ran this incursion. Students got to learn in a hands on environment.
