On Wednesday 16th October P-2 and 3-6 students attended the Smart Energy academy show. This performance was filled with exciting and comedic stories on the topics of energy, resources and conservation.
Matt and Daniel taught us all about:
- What is energy and electricity
-What are energy resources
-How energy is wasted
-How you can save energy
As part of the show, students received a home energy student survey to complete. The survey is designed to measure the positive changes students’ and their families have made in their energy saving knowledge and behaviour. It encourages actions such as turning off lights, reducing appliance usage, and adopting energy-efficient practices.
By returning your class completed surveys to the Smart Energy Academy, we can work together to save 1million kWh of energy!
The best part is that you can also be in the draw to win prizes!
For every 50 surveys returned to DSS, we receive $100.
One family will win $500
Then our school goes in the draw to win $500, $1000 and $2000 prizes.
Please return these to your classroom teachers ASAP!
